A note from the artist

Chasing a Shadow

Its a lot like chasing the shadow of a cloud on a long desert highway.  Its like a grade school bully holding your juice high above your head. That shadow quenches you, you chase it, and the cloud mocks you. In that way, chasing a cloud is a bit like chasing love, a shadow you bask in against a heat like duct tape that sears your skin.

No, this isn’t quite as serious as that.  Not today. Today is like chasing the shadow of a wave when the sun screams like wild fan palms on shore line.  The shade is cast so wide that there is no shade. You can only perceive it at a glance. A sly, passing glance: a sliding glance. A glance you give from the corner of you eye when you want no one to notice except the person you are glancing at. Forward, but imperceptible; cautiously inviting. That is how I took this photograph.

Edition of 5.

Standard - 24”x48”

Large - 30”x60”

Grand - 36”x72”

About the prints: I print on a premium substrate that is unparalleled in depth and luminosity. The material refracts light in such a way that light travels laterally through the paper as well as reflects to the audience creating a brilliant effect that many mistake to be rear illumination. Each print is then face mounted to acrylic and sandwiched to a protective backing. The artwork is then framed or a recessed mount is added to the back to float on the wall. I offer Tabacchino and other handmade framing options. Available in three sizes, Standard, Large and Grande. Commissions available. Below are examples in 4” frames with and without liners. More arrangements are available. Liners are available in Black, White, Beige. See FRAMES in the menu above for more frames and liner options.
