Captured while wading in an infinity pool overlooking the ocean. I set my aperture to wide and pulled the focus out do give the image the dreamy blur then focused on aligning the refractions of the light. When I was reviewing this photograph, the aligning light made me think of chakras and how we build ourselves from a fluid sense of self and must always work toward keeping our lives and our values aligned.

My time in Bali grew more special to me as the year continued. What began as a trip to get away from drama in my personal life morphed into a rewarding experience and a reminder of who I am and that the person I've been claiming to be (to myself mostly) is, in fact, who I want to be. That may sound like platitudes, but maybe you have experienced moments in your life that are similar.

I captured Higher Self in a unique way, by putting all my trust in a stranger. I asked Gina to hold my hand as I pivoted myself against a ledge in the wall of the infinity pool and leaned way back until both our arms were outstretched and I was completely extended over two meters of saltwater with my only camera inches above the surface. I hovered there, aligning the heavens with their reflection on earth, wondering how tenuous their connection might be. It wasn't risky like scaling a mountainside is risky, but worry and excitement mingled with the light just the same!

Higher Self is my third release from Bali. My first being the black and white "Room For One and Their Dreams" and the second being the grand waterfall "Sekumpul, Island of Gods" Head to their microsites to see high definition detail shots of each of the works, including Higher Self.

    I use a tamper-proof, holographic pair of seals to certify the art with the Certificate of Authenticity.

    I don’t typically sign the front of the art because I feel it interrupts the flow of the piece.

    How long does shipping take?

    Production and deliver take about 30 days.

    Adding framing doesn’t normally affect shipping time, unless the frame is out of stock or must be shipped from abroad.

    What if the art arrives damaged?

    All my work is fully insured during transport. You will have 48 hours to report any damage during shipping.

    Return Policy

    Since I began my career in 2012, I’ve never had a return.

    Technically, all sales are final but I will do my best to ensure you are happy with your acquisition.

A frame on your artwork can be the bridge between what moves you as a collector and the space where your art lives. Your art includes a recessed frame and all mounting hardware. However, I have a wealth of knowledge about framing and can find the perfect frame for you if you’d like your presentation to include one. 

There is a HUGE world of frame options available. I typically frame with Roma moulding and Larsen Juhl. My lab will take care of framing for you, so you don’t have to stress about anything aside from putting the art on your walls once you receive it.
